Using the right punching surface will increase the life of your tools and keep them sharp longer.
Our 6” x 12” punching mat has a rubber surface on the back for hole punches, end punches, and other similarly heavy tools that need a sharp cut line in the leather. The other side of the mat features thick vegetable tan leather, a softer surface for more delicate tools. Use the leather side for pricking irons, stitching irons, and other tools that make smaller holes and where you don’t need a large sharp cut line.
