A head knife is one of the most versatile tools you’ll own and is capable of cutting, paring and skiving. It is often the displayed as the iconic leatherworking tool. When paring, you’ll have a lot of sharp blade edge to work with and less trips to the whetstone.
Choose between the full round knife or the quarter knife to suit your cutting preferences.
The arc of our head knife extends beyond 180 degrees for greater utility. The quarter round knife also extends beyond 90 degrees.
A head knife should be carefully and constantly sharpened for both safety and ease of use. Mastering the technique and learning to sharpen a head knife is a long process but well worth the effort.
