Usage
Similar to the diamond chisels, these Awl Stitching Chisels provide an alternate shaped hole from the traditional ‘straight slash’ of a pricking iron. They make a small single point hole for straight stitches. The pointed shape of the teeth allows more concentrated force to be put into each mark. This results in deeper penetrating marks helping you to punch through several layers of leather at once.
These Diamond Stitching Chisels are set with multiple teeth in a row, making it easier to produce beautiful straight lines of stitches. Diamond stitching chisels can mark the leather deeper than a wheel and make it easier to follow up with your leather awl when sewing.
